56.7 billion VND spent on Tet bonus to laborers

(BGO) – Ahead of the Lunar New Year festival (Year of the Pig), leaders of Taiwanese invested New Wing Interconnect Technology Company Limited (in Van Trung Industrial Park, Viet Yen district, Bac Giang province) mobilized 56.7 billion VND (over 2.4 million USD) to provide Tet bonus to nearly 12,600 laborers.

Accordingly, each worker was offered from 4 – 4.5 million VND (172 – 194 USD) depending on the seniority and labor evaluation upon efficiency. This bonus was up about 10 percent comparing to last year.

The average monthly income of the laborers working for New Wing Interconnect Technology Co., Ltd hit 7 million VND (301 USD) per person in 2018, up nearly 1 million comparing to the figure in 2017.
Besides, the Trade Union in the company took the occasion to present Tet gifts to all of the laborers, each worth 300,000 VND (about 13 USD) while 16 workers living in especially difficult circumstances received gift packages each worth 500,000 – 1 million VND (21 – 43 USD) together with confectionary.
Two enterprises present 800 Tet gifts to disadvantaged households and AO victims
(BGO) – Responding to the campaign of “Tet for the Poor and Agent Orange Victims (AO Victims)” in 2019 launched by the Red Cross Society (RCS) in the northern province of Bac Giang, Vinahan Joint Stock Company in Song Mai commune (Bac Giang city) and Habac Nitrogenous Fertilizer& Chemicals Joint Stock Company mobilized the expenses to present 500 gift packages (each worth 400,000 VND) and 300 gift sets (each valued at 500,000 VND) respectively.
At least 1.5 million Tet gift packages for underprivileged
The Vietnam Red Cross Society (VRCS) will launch a programme entitled “The Strength of Humanity” on January 13 to call for support to the underprivileged ahead of the Lunar New Year (Tet) festival, according to VRCS Vice President Tran Thi Hong Anh.
