The Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee in coordination with the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Association organised a ceremony in Hanoi on November 25 to announce the Vietnam Golden Book of Creativity 2021.
From 151 highly applicable creative scientific and technological works introduced by ministries, branches and localities, the Organising Committee selected 76 outstanding projects and solutions to be honoured in the 2021 Vietnam Golden Book of Creativity.

The book aims to encourage individuals, agencies, organisations and enterprises to strongly engage in creative activities, scientific research, and technology development in all fields, said President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee Do Van Chien.
Politburo member and Standing Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Thanh Man lauded the compilation of the book, which comprises highly applicable creative scientific and technological works in the context of the Covid-19 epidemic.
He proposed that relevant agencies continue encouraging sectors at all levels as well as Vietnamese people at home and abroad to join efforts in creative works and the research and application of scientific and technological advances, thus contributing to national growth.
At the ceremony, certificates and copies of the book were presented to the authors the of works contained in the book.

USAID funds US$2 million to improve Vietnam’s innovation workforce
The freshly-launched Vietnam Workforce for an Innovation and Start-up Ecosystem (WISE) project funded by the US Agency for International Development (USAID) with an amount of around US$2 million is expected to help improve Vietnam’s human resources working in this field.
Australia increases investment in innovation in Vietnam
The Australian Government has once again reinforced their commitment to cooperation with Vietnam in knowledge and innovation with an additional budget of AUD3.5 million (US$2.7 million) provided to the Aus4Innovation programme.
Promoting innovation to create breakthrough
“The Government will consider support for start-ups as a top priority and will devise practical support plans for young people and the start-up community," said Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc at the Youth Start-up Forum within the framework of Techfest Vietnam 2020.
