Vu Thi Tam (born in 1954) got married with Phung Duc Bac who passed away in 2022. Bac was the biological son of martyr Phung Van Cong. Inspite of the difficult circumstances and her own poor health, Tam still adopted a disabled child.

Her house was built in 1990 and became deteriorated. Her family cannot afford to rebuild it. To help her, the Department of Construction mobilized officials, civil servants, employees and workers and some businesses to support the cost of building the house of 150 million VND.

In addition, Phu Cuong Construction and Infrastructure Investment Joint Stock Company and a number of construction enterprises supported Tam's family with 25,000 bricks, all tiles, sanitary equipment, wall paint, steel doors and man powers. The house has a total area of ​​71 square meters, including 1 living room and 2 bedrooms, a private bathroom. The construction was started at the end of July 2024.

Speaking at the event, Acting Chairman of Bac Giang Provincial People's Committee Mai Son acknowledged and highly appreciated the spirit of mutual love and affection and kindness of the officials, civil servants, employees and workers of the Department of Construction and sponsoring units as well as the attention of the District Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Fatherland Front Committee of Luc Nam District, mass organizations in the district and the Yen Son commune government.

He congratulated Tam's family on having a new house. At the same time, he hoped that the local Party Committee, government and people of Quyet Tam village would continue to care for and help her family improve their lives with practical actions; encourage the family to overcome difficulties and rise up in life.

The provincial leader requested the Department of Construction to further mobilize and take the lead in building and eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses for families of meritorious people in the area.

On this occasion, the provincial leader and agencies presented Tam with many meaningful gifts, performed the inauguration ceremony and handed over the new house to the family.
