Besides, the district arranged Tan Son General Clinic as an isolated facility to treat the cases while coordinating with the National Shooting Range in region 1 to arrange 120 isolated beds.

The district now has 80 Chinese staying at the localities, 6,116 people returning from China (12 people are isolated within 14 days), 697 people staying in China.

The disease prevention has basically met the preventive requirement. However, the list of isolated cases in Phuong Son commune still lacks of information about the time from the affected area to the locality. The district sent only 6 people to the concentrated isolation area while many people returned from the affected areas.

Concluding the inspection, PPC Vice Chairman Le Anh Duong acknowledged some achievements in the disease prevention and control in the district. He also noted several problems such as delayed progress in printing and delivering the leaflets to alarm the complicated situation to the residents as well as updating the data about the cases from the affected areas.

The provincial leader requested the district authority to seriously learn from the insufficient preparation of the equipment for isolated treatment at the Infection Department (Medical Center in Luc Ngan district). Meanwhile the local authority should quickly arrange the active method in the worst case to ensure the safety for the residents, especially equip sufficient utilities and tools for the isolated treatment area.

Under the circumstance that Luc Ngan has more than 13,000 Hoa ethnic residents who has close relationship with Chinese people and regularly go to China to visit relatives, work with partners, PPC Vice Chairman urged the locality to further review and grasp the cases returning from the affected areas.

Moreover, the isolated method must be applied to the people travelling unofficial ways on this occasion. Any one returning from Taiwan (China) should isolate at home under the supervision of the communal medical group.

The locality should reinforce the communication on the epidemic prevention to the locals, especially the proper use of face mask to avoid waste. The district People’s Committee must promptly issue the plan to ensure the supporting tasks for disease prevention.
