Bac Giang approves for project to build Ha Bac 1 bridge connecting with Bac Ninh province
BAC GIANG - The People's Council of Bac Giang province has just issued Resolution No. 12/NQ-HDND approving the policy to assign the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province as the competent authority to implement the investment project to build Ha Bac 1 bridge and the connecting road (Project) between Bac Ninh and Bac Giang provinces.
To well coordinate in Project implementation, the People's Committee of Bac Giang province has promptly directed the specialized agencies and the People's Committee of Viet Yen township to review and implement the related task.

The People's Committee of Viet Yen township will start to build the connecting road on the Bac Giang side from July 2024 which is expected to be completed in 2025.
The Ha Bac 1 bridge construction project is located on Highway 298B of Bac Giang province and Highway 295C of Bac Ninh province, connecting Highway 398 (belt road IV in Bac Giang province) with Highway 18.
The project builds a permanent bridge with reinforced concrete and prestressed reinforced concrete; bridge width of 22.5m, the bridge length of about 970m. The paths on both sides of the bridge are invested according to the approved planning, ensuring connection with the regional traffic system.
The total investment hits nearly 1,700 billion VND (71.3 million USD). The investment preparation work will be done in 2025 to start construction in 2026 and complete the project in 2027.
This is a project of great significance in connecting the transport networks of the two provinces. It will form a new transport gateway, helping improve the transport system connecting the two localities, opening up new spaces and driving forces to promote economic development and socio-cultural exchange between the two provinces and the region.
