In the month, as many as 23 projects valued at over 24 million USD landed in the province, including 15 domestic projects worth 364 billion VND (16 million USD) and eight foreign ones worth 8.02 million USD.

The province granted investment licences to 152 projects with total newly registered and added capital of 1.85 billion USD during January-August, equivalent to 74.1 percent of the yearly plan. Of the total, 85 licences were given to domestic projects valued at nearly 27 trillion VND (1.2 billion USD) and 40 others to foreign projects worth 570 million USD.

The locality also gave the nod to 27 existing foreign direct investment (FDI) projects to increase capital by 97.6 million USD.

Currently, the province is home to 1,237 projects, including 937 domestic projects capitalized at over 80.4 trillion VND (3.54 billion USD) and 300 FDI projects worth nearly 3.5 billion USD.
