Bac Giang attracts human resources for business
BAC GIANG - Attracting investment in industrial parks and clusters, realizing the goal to be a key industrial province by 2030 are among the key tasks that all levels, sectors and localities in Bac Giang province are now focusing on implementing. Hundreds of thousands of workers from localities across the country have come to the province to work with stable incomes and gradually improved lives.
Labor demand increases
So far, 10 industrial parks in the northern province has been approved for the investment policies with a total planning area of nearly 2,500 hectares, three of which are fully occupied, including Dinh Tram, Song Khe - Noi Hoang and Van Trung.

Currently, the industrial parks attract 512 investment projects (396 foreign investment projects and 116 domestic direct investment projects) with a total registered capital of nearly 11.1 billion USD and more than 25 trillion VND (over one billion USD).
The enterprises in the industrial parks now create jobs for about 222,000 people, with local workers accounting for about 60%.
Industrial development has led to a sharp increase in labor recruitment demand. According to the forecast of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs (DOLISA), in the period of 2025-2030, on average, each year, enterprises in the province need about 90,000 workers to serve industrial development, mostly to work at mechanical engineering; production equipment; manufacturing of electronic components and equipment and industrial electronics among others.
Particularly in the last months of this year, the businesses offer more than 30,000 job vacancies for laborers. Some enterprises with large recruitment needs include: Newwing Interconnect Technology Bac Giang Co., Ltd in Van Trung Industrial Park (12,900 people); Foxconn Technology Group in Quang Chau Industrial Park and Dinh Tram Industrial Park (5,000 people); Luxshare-ICT Vietnam Co., Ltd in Van Trung Industrial Park (3,500 people).
Good care to "retain" workers
To attract human resources for industrial parks, all levels, sectors and localities in the province have made efforts to gradually improve the effectiveness and efficiency of state management over labor, ensuring jobs and income for them as well as paying attention to infrastructure development and improving basic social services.

Currently, the average income of unskilled workers in the province is 7-12 million VND per person per month while they are fully covered by social insurance, health insurance and unemployment insurance after signing the contract.
Regarding housing issue, the enterprises now have 30,000 accommodations for workers while localities in the province have about 147,000 rental rooms. In addition, investors are implementing 9 social housing projects with 12,400 apartments.
Promoting the role to represent, protect and take care of workers, the trade unions at all levels focus on communicating and launching creative emulation movements, inspecting, supervising and raising awareness and responsibility of enterprises in complying with labor laws.
At the same time, a large budget is allocated to give gifts and support union members in difficult circumstances; provide bus tickets for workers living far away to return home on Tet occasion; build a model of "safe and civilized boarding houses" in order to create an order place for workers to live.
Besides, the competent agencies launch Youth Union and Women's Union to take care of jobs, health and improve the spiritual life of workers.
In order to meet the human resource needs for industrial development in the province amid the increasingly fierce labor competition, in 2024, for the first time, the Provincial People's Committee organized promotion campaigns to attract workers in 8 provinces including: Lang Son, Cao Bang, Hoa Binh, Son La, Bac Kan, Lao Cai, Yen Bai, Ha Giang and 3 universities. As the results, the province have attracted about 15,000 workers from other provinces since March.
According to DOLISA, the laborers in the province come from 30 provinces and cities nationwide. In the coming time, the Department will continue to advise the Provincial People's Committee to develop and implement a plan to coordinate with provinces and cities to organize activities to promote and attract workers.
The Department will coordinate with the Provincial Industrial Park Management Board and related sectors to strictly manage enterprises who provide employment services and official information to workers wishing to work in Bac Giang.
