Bac Giang builds 4 new residential and urban areas

(BGO) - Aiming at gradually expanding the local urban areas (UA), the People’s Committee in the northern province of Bac Giang has approved for the investment policy in 4 local projects of urban and residential areas (URA) covering over 40 hectares since the beginning of this year.

There included Lac Phu No.3 URA (Yen Dung district); Area No.1 of Phon Xuong residential area (RA) (Yen The district); Coc market in Dinh Tri commune and RA next to the provincial road No.299 in Dinh Tri commune (Bac Giang city).

4 projects are invested by Thien An Infrastructure Joint Stock Company (JSC) (Hanoi); Minh Hung Investment JSC (Bac Giang); Tay Bac Investment JSC (Hanoi); consortium of Thanh Do Construction JSC and Ngoc Tho Company Limited (Bac Giang) respectively.

The total execution cost for the projects reached over 500 billion VND (21,800 USD) from the enterprises’ budget. Currently, the investors are boosting up the project construction progress and striving to put them into use by 2020.

To date, Bac Giang province has housed 17 urban areas, including one second grade UA (Bac Giang city); two fourth grade UAs (Chu town in Luc Ngan district and Thang town in Hiep Hoa district) and 14 fifth grade UAs.

The population rate in the UAs accounts for nearly 17 percent of the provincial residents.
