Bac Giang contributes to inauguration of 220kV transmission line
The transmission line is an urgent power grid project, approved by the Prime Minister in the National Power Development Plan for the period 2011-2020 with a vision to 2030. It features 236 foundations and has a total length of more than 101 km, from the existing Bac Giang 220 kV substation to the newly built Lang Son 220 kV substation. The transmission line was built at a cost of over 530 billion VND (22.38 million USD).

Luc Nam houses 31 pylons, the largest number among localities in Bac Giang. Giap Van On, Vice Chairman of the district People's Committee shared: “The district has more than 200 households affected by the project. The local authorities explained and provided indicators on safe distances so that households can feel secure."
Officials from the district’s specialized divisions climbed forests and crossed streams to measure land plots, ensuring fairness and publicity in land clearance. As a result, in February 2023, Luc Nam district completed the site clearance and handed over the clean grounds to the contractor.

The Lang Giang representative added that implementing the direction of the provincial authorities, the district focused on determining the origin of land and counting land plots; made and publicized compensation plans for affected households. It asked the contractor to immediately return the sites to the households after completing the construction.
When the sites were available, the contractor gathered all manpower for construction to quickly complete the items. On July 2, 2023, EVNNPT put into operation the Bac Giang-Lang Son 220kV transmission line according to the set schedule.
According to the provincial Department of Industry and Trade, the project inauguration has an important meaning in receiving part of the capacity from the Nho Que Hydropower Plant in Ha Giang, increasing the capacity for the load in Bac Giang province and surrounding areas; creating a transmission network connection in the region; enhancing the safety, reliability and power supply capacity for the northern region.
The connection of 110kV and 220kV power grids through 220kV transformer stations contributes to making the capacity of power sources in the province connected to the national power system.
