At the event, the representatives watched the video to briefly introduce the local climate, soil and fruit trees. Apart from lychees, this year Luc Ngan develops nearly 7,000 ha of citrus fruit trees with estimated output of 60 – 70,000 tonnes of fruits. It is now the harvest season of several orange and pomelo orchards that bring high economic value to the local farmers.

According to DCST Vice Director Duong Hong Co, Bac Giang province and Luc Ngan district started to develop orchard tourism from these above mentioned advantages.

Some representatives said that the complicated development of Covid-19 pandemic creates good chance for domestic tourism. In case of good implementation, the visitors to Bac Giang province will surge. The main roads in Luc Ngan district are quite large but the village inter-roads are narrow causing a lot of difficulties for visitors to come to the orchard.

Thus, the local authority should continue expanding the routes; training the community tourism serving skills to the orchard owners to make each local become a tour guide; developing available products in the district to be tourism ones; especially keeping the fresh air and distinguish rural identities.

Additionally, the local orchard owners should research to create the different and unique features in the areas to replace the similar model of the fruit orchards. It is necessary to define the benefit for the local residents and authority when following orchard tourism by creating clear tours, delicious cuisine culture, persuading the orchard owners to join orchard tourism model to use their orchard as the resting place for visitors with clean and standard sanitation area.

The leaders of the DCST and Luc Ngan district received and highly appreciated all the discussion and recommendation at the meeting while considering it as one of the channels to help local authority organize suitable and effective orchard and spiritual tourism products in the upcoming time.

(BGO)- This time the orchard owners in Luc Ngan district, Bac Giang province are quickly tidying up the gardens and caring fruit trees for high quality and good looking products to welcome visitors to the Luc Ngan trade fair of orange, pomelo and signature products scheduled from 20 to 22 November.  The district also collaborates to organize garden tours to promote the products.
