Bac Giang defers tax payments to over 900 businesses

(BGO) - Implementing Government’s Resolution No. 52/2021/ND-CP on April 19, 2021, the Taxation Department in Bac Giang province popularized to local businesses about payment period extension for value added tax, business income tax, individual income tax and land lease fees.

The beneficial cases include enterprises, organizations, business households and individuals operating in such fields of agriculture, forestry and fishery, food production and processing, paper production and processing, logistics, hotel and restaurant, education and training among others.

The real estate business is one of the beneficial cases to defer the tax payment.

All related procedures are received on online document systems by the Taxation Department then handled per administrative order. According to Nguyen Van Hung, Vice Head of the provincial Taxation Department, the time to propose for tax payment extension is not later than July 30, 2021.

So far, 941 businesses in the province have benefited from the tax payment extension (depending on each period) with total amount of delayed payment of over 278.9 billion VND including 65.2 billion VND of business income tax, over 203 billion VND of value added tax and over 9.9 billion VND of land lease fee.

Most of beneficial companies in the province are small and super small ones which operate in agriculture, transport, wood production and mining fields. The tax payment extension helps businesses partly overcome the difficulties by Covid-19 pandemic.
