Updated: 18:22, 02/01/2022
(BGO) – Amid the complicated development of Covid-19 in many provinces and cities nationwide, the industrial parks (IP) in the northern province of Bac Giang still encounter high risk of infection, especially on the Tet holiday. The local competent agencies and businesses have actively imposed preventive measures to control over the infection.

Defining the above risk, the provincial IP Management Board (IPMB) directed enterprises to highly focus on prevention the disease resurgence by vaccination and periodical screening test.

To date, 98 percent of the workers at the IP have received two vaccine shots. The remaining are cases with contraindications. To enhance the disease prevention for labours, many companies have administered third vaccine shot to them.

Sanwa Vietnam Manufacturing Company Limited (Sanwa) in Dinh Tram IP has nearly 350 workers who were fully vaccinated against Covid-19 (except for cases with contraindications). Ahead of New Year festival, Sanwa strived to inject the third shot to 50 percent of their labours.

Besides, the workers at Crystal Martin Vietnam Company Limited in Quang Chau IP have strictly followed 5K message and received third Covid-19 jab these days. Ahead of New Year holiday, the company administered third shot to 4,700 workers, accounting for 50 percent of the labours.

The province strives to administer 60,000 vaccine doses, accounting for 30 percent of total workers in the IP.

Safety for production

Now, 385 companies are operating with over 190,000 labours at the IP of Van Trung, Dinh Tram, Quang Chau, Song Khe – Noi Hoang, Hoa Phu and Vietnam – Korea.

According to the IPMB, some firms and labours have recently showed negligence and inattention with loosen implementation of disease preventive measures, causing some infected cases in the companies.

The provincial People’s Committee has issued disease preventive plan which requests all businesses to actively conduct screening test and disease preventive measures to maintain the business and production; persist to impose pandemic fight formula “5K message, vaccination, drug, treatment, technology and people’s awareness” even at high vaccination rate.

Facing the actual situation, to enhance disease prevention and control at the IP, especially on Tet holidays, Head of the IPMB Dao Xuan Cuong said the IPMB issued document to order all companies to strictly follow disease preventive rules by highly controlling over the outside source of disease infection to the enterprises, particularly returners from pandemic hit localities like Bac Ninh province and Hanoi city….

On these occasions, labours are told not to hold party and mass gathering. The businesses persuaded labours living in other provinces and cities to stay at Bac Giang and avoid moving to other area to prevent utmost the risk of disease transmission.

After the Tet holiday, the IPMB requested all companies to conduct screening test for 100 percent of labours on every three days (at least two consecutive times) by rapid antigen test or RT-PRC.

Together with these above mentioned methods, the provincial People’s Committee (PPC) has issued disease preventive plan which requests all businesses to actively conduct screening test and disease preventive measures to maintain the business and production; persist to impose pandemic fight formula “5K message, vaccination, drug, treatment, technology and people’s awareness” even at high vaccination rate.

Amid the disease complicated development, especially new variant with higher infection speed, the PPC has newly established the Inspection and Supervision Group to check, monitor and instruct the disease preventive task at the company.

Meanwhile, the businesses must promptly cooperate with the Covid Community Team to regularly supervise and detect the infected symptom; enhance communication about Omicron variant and risk of community infection to raise the pandemic prevention awareness for labours; prepare detail plan to combat the disease and respond to specific circumstance; arrange sufficient testing expense for labour as regulation.
