Bac Giang estimates to harvest 45,000 tonnes of early ripen lychee

(BGO) – Bac Giang
province grows more than 6,000 ha of early ripen lychee in the districts of Tan
Yen, Yen The, Luc Ngan and Luc Nam. The favourable weather this year resulted
in high flowering and fruit bearing rate, hence the province is expecting for a
bumper harvest.
According to the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (DARD), the early ripen lychee areas are mostly in the early fruiting stage with expected output of 45,000 tonnes of fruits, up 5,000 tonnes comparing to the same period last year.

As schedule, the lychee will be harvested on May 10.
To ease the product consumption, the DARD has coordinated with the Department of Industry and Trade to promote the lychee sale including early ripen fruit.
Due to the impact of Covid-19 pandemic, the export may encounter a lot of barriers, so the competent agencies have focused on exploiting domestic markets.
Luc Ngan actively seeks “output” for lychee
(BGO) – The complicated development of
Covid-19 pandemic has made the owners of lychee orchards in Luc Ngan district
(Bac Giang province) really concerned for the upcoming season. Amid the current
situation, the local authority joins hands with competent agencies and
consuming enterprises to work out specific solutions to ease the consumption
and help the farmers comfortably care for the special fruits.
Bac Giang grants GlobalGAP certificate to 40 hectares of lychee
(BGO) – The Plant Production and
Protection Division (under the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development)
has proceeded the steps to grant the GlobalGAP certificate to 40 hectares of
lychee in the communes of Quy Son, Tan Son, Nam Duong (Luc Ngan district) and
Phuc Hoa (Tan Yen district, Bac Giang province).
27 hectares of lychee additionally granted with production area code to export to Japan
(BGO) - The Japanese plant quarantine
agency has issued additional production area code for 27 hectares of lychee in
Luc Ngan district, Bac Giang province to export to this market which are
located in Tan Son commune (12 hectare) and Ho Dap commune (15 hectares).
Bac Giang improves quality and actively promotes lychee consumption
(BGO) – Bac Giang province now has
28,000 hectares of lychee cultivation with estimated output of 160,000 tonnes.
Bac Giang plans and produces 50 hectares of lychee to export to Japan
(BGO) – The Deputy Minister of Agriculture
and Rural Development Le Quoc Doanh on February 14 paid a field visit to the
lychee production area for export in Luc Ngan district, Bac Giang province.
