Promoting digital government at the local level, in the coming time, the DOIC will focus on developing and perfecting the system of online meeting equipment for state agencies from the province to the commune level to improve the quality of meetings, professional exchanges, document dissemination and online training; deploying a smart meeting room model towards the goal of decentralized and paperless meetings across the province.

Also, the Department will build a cloud computing platform for Bac Giang province based on cloud connectivity of state agencies to create an environment for storing, sharing resources and developing shared services for digital government on a province-wide scale that is flexible, efficient and fast.

From now until 2025, the province will build the Internet of Things (IoT) infrastructure in Bac Giang city and Viet Yen township, deploy sensor integration and apply digital technology to essential infrastructures such as transportation, environment, lighting, electricity, water... to ensure connection, data transmission and support analysis problems for management as well as deployment of smart urban services...

To date, 100% of villages, hamlets and residential groups in Bac Giang province have had fiber optic Internet infrastructure. Over 85% of the adult population in the province has smartphones, over 90% of households have member with a smartphone, and 86.3% of households have fiber optic broadband Internet connections.

Bac Giang Provincial Public Security has coordinated with the DOIC, People's Committees of districts, township, city and related units to maintain and operate 1,305 cameras to exploit the camera system images to serve the investigation and handling of criminal law violations; exploit the traffic camera function to send notices of fines.

In the third quarter of 2024, the Intelligent Urban Operations Center (IOC) of Bac Giang province operated stably. The on-site information system maintained efficiency with 13,196 accounts, including 10,712 citizen accounts and 2,484 staff accounts for receiving and processing issues.
