Accordingly, among 15 departments and agencies being evaluated, the Bac Giang Inspectorate ranked first with 89.5 points, up 14 spots against the previous year. The results reflect the current situation as the agency cut down many inspections and procedures for businesses this year.

The province’s Departments of Agriculture and Rural Development and Science and Technology also recorded improvements since they respectively placed second and third, rising 8 and 13 places compared to 2016. The provincial Department of Public Security was of the lowest rank (falling 7 spots against the previous time).

For Bac Giang city and districts, Son Dong district remained on top for two years with 89.16 points. The second and third places belong to Yen Dung and Luc Nam districts, up 4 and 6 spots compared to two years ago. The two districts of Yen The and Lang Giang were still at the bottom, ranking 9th and 10th.

The survey was conducted on 800 businesses and investors on information transparency, attitude, competency of staff members when handling administrative procedures, time for handling administrative procedures and signs of causing inconveniences for businesses.

The businesses directly submitted their feedback and gave points to agencies via email. The survey forms were collected sent to the Legal Department of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) for accurate, objective and honest evaluation.
