Ready preparation for the re-opening day

Covid-19 pandemic has made many businesses and entertainment services suspended for more than one year. A number of labourers lost their jobs and income facing several difficulties.

Bao Nam restaurant in Tho Xuong ward, Bac Giang city was allowed to resume its normal operation since February 16 after nearly one year prohibited to serve customers at the restaurant.

“When being announced about the province’s policy, I informed the employees to return to work and ordered them to clean the surroundings, arrange some places for hand rubs along the corridors, entrance to the dining rooms and rest rooms and prepare ingredients for the first day welcoming guests”, according to Dang Dinh Kien, the restaurant owner.

A number of beauty care service and in-door sport facilities also well prepared to welcome customers many days before.

Viet Yen district is home to nearly 140 restaurants and service facilities such as in-door sports, spa, swimming pool and hotel. In order to ensure flexible response to the new context, the district people’s committee provided guidance on implementation of temporary preventive measures against Covid-19.

Accordingly, the facilities are required to install QR code and ask customers to make medical declaration. The business owners and servants must wear facemask when contacting to customers. The chefs have to wear gloves when preparing food and they must be provided at least 2 Covid-19 vaccine shots.

The business owners will decide screening test with rapid testing or RT-PCR testing for all employees of the food and beverage service establishments every 3 days and others should be tested every 7 days. Those with cough, fever and breathing difficulty must be immediately informed to the communal-level medical station for testing and timely response to Covid-19 infections.

Ensuring safety

After accelerating vaccine administration for the grassroots, the rate of vaccination with 1st and 2nd doses for those from 12 years old reaches nearly 100 percent while the figure of people from 18 years old provided 3 vaccine shots is 81.67 percent. People in Bac Giang province are delighted to receive the decision of the provincial People’s Committee to allow re-opening socio-economic activities.

According to an evaluation by the provincial Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control, Covid-19 pandemic is still complicated and unpredictable especially when many infected cases have been detected in the neighboring provinces and Omicron occurred in the community. Loosening the pandemic preventive measures and opening socio-economic activities will increase the risk and make the pandemic situation more complicated.

Facing this circumstance, at the teleconference on Covid-19 prevention and control some days ago, Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee urged the steering committee for Covid-19 prevention and control at all levels to strictly implement 5K message and administer vaccination while opening is permitted. Besides, it is necessary to boost propaganda against complacency and warn people to implement the preventive measures to protect their health. The provincial Chairman ordered to continue supervising, inspecting and strictly handling cases violating the rules.

According to Nguyen Huu Dinh, Vice Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee of Bac Giang city, each residential group has a community-based Covid-19 prevention team. The city directed the community-based Covid-19 prevention teams to regularly supervise and remind stores and service suppliers in the residential groups to obey the regulations on the pandemic fight.

The provincial Department of Health has actively prepared conditions for administering vaccines to children from 5 to 11 right after the Ministry of Health provides vaccines for the province.

As the province has gone through the tough period due to Covid-19 pandemic, all people in the province need to strictly implement 5K message and get enough vaccines to prevent the disease, protect their health, stabilize the living and concentrate on socio-economic development.
