Bac Giang province will step up administrative reforms to provide both citizens and businesses with better public services.

Increasing the use of the information technology is part of the efforts to streamline administrative procedures and shorten the time to handle procedures, Linh said, adding that the province will continue to improve the Public Administrative Reform (PAR) Index, Provincial Governance and Public Administration Performance Index (PAPI), Satisfaction Index of Public Administration Services (SIPAS) and Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI).

The province will also look to improve the capacity of local officials and public staffers.

Last year, the local one-door mechanism helped shorten processing time in planning and investment, labour, invalids and social affairs, transportation and construction by up to 30 percent.

The provincial public administrative centre received more than 63,100 requests, 97.6 percent of which were handled on schedule.

To date, all of the 2,300 public services are online. More than 600 services are in the Level-3 category, which allows applicants to submit forms online. Meanwhile, Level 4 has been applied for more than 100 services, helping local residents and businesses settle payments online.
