Bac Giang province receives more donations for flood victims in Central region
On October 28, at the Office of the provincial FFC, Bac Giang branch of the Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development donated 222 million VND (9,600 USD) for the people in the Central region (90 million VND sent via Agribank’s system and remaining amount sent via provincial FFC).

At the event, FFC Vice Chairman Trinh Huu Ban expressed the thanks to the officers, staff and labourers at Agribank Bac Giang branch for the joint efforts together with the whole nation toward the flood victims in Central provinces.
Also, he pressed that following the storm No.8, storm No.9 has made landfall to and severely damaged the Central localities. He urged the organizations, collectives, individuals, enterprises and kind-hearted people to further make donation for them.
From October 18 – 26, the women’s union at all levels in the province called for nearly 3.3 billion VND (143,100 USD) including nearly 1.8 billion VND in cash, nearly 50 tonnes of rice, 6,800 boxes of instant noodles, over 6,000 Chung cake, 24,000 sets of clothes, more than 6,600 sets of books, 12,000 dry provisions and other necessities to send to the receipt locations of the provincial FFC at all levels.
On October 28, the Red Cross Society (RCS) in the province received more than 3.7 billion VND (160,400 USD) in cash and kind to support the people in flood hit area in Central region from the lower chapters in the districts, city and kind-hearted people.
Also at the reception, the participants sent messages to support the flood victims in Central localities with the syntax UH to 1403 (20,000 VND per message).
After receiving the donated cash and material, the provincial RCS sent apart of them to the Vietnam RCS and directly transferred the remaining ones to the victims.
In the upcoming days, the provincial RCS continues calling for all the chapters and philanthropists to join hands for the people in Central region in material and spiritual aspects to recover the storm and flood consequences.
