Bac Giang wins 62 prizes at national contest for excellent students

(BGO) – The Ministry of Education and Training on January 15 announced the result of national contest for excellent students in the academic year 2019 – 2020. 62 students in Bac Giang province won prize including 12 second prizes, 31 third prizes and 19 consolidation prizes.

The subjects with high achievement were English (2 second and 6 third prizes); Literature (1 second, 5 third and 2 consolidation prizes) and History (4 second and 6 third prizes).

The second prizes were awarded to twelve grader Giap Thi Anh Thu in Chemistry honor class; eleven grader Tran Xuan Ngoc in Biology honor class; eleven grader Nguyen Van Phu in Literature honor class among others.

This year, Bac Giang’s students gained more 8 prizes comparing to last year, exceeding the set target and ranking tenth position nationwide.

The contest was launched in late December 2019. 90 candidates from the northern province of Bac Giang competed in the event, including 29 twelve graders, 60 eleven grader and one student at ten grade.

Houses handed over to impoverished students in Son Dong
(BGO) – The Fund for Protection of Children’s Rights (FPCR) in Bac Giang province has recently handed over two houses to the families of Nguyen Thi Hong (born in 2008) in Man village, An Lap commune and Ha Thi Huong Tra (born in 2005) in Dong Phe village, An Chau commune (Son Dong district).
