Nguyen Quoc Khanh, Vice Chairman of the Son La provincial People's Committee visited the model of melon net house cultivation in Dong Tam 3 hamlet, Thuong Thang commune (Hiep Hoa).

Vice Chairman Thai informed that the lychee is defined as the staple crop to well realize the agricultural restructuring project in the local area. The small individual production households have been gradually shifted to the large-scale concentrated models helping enhance the application of science and technology toward the disease-free production, he said.

Besides, the local authority has focused on building the trademark, paying attention to appearance, package, trade promotion, market expansion and chain linkage. Thai pressed the importance of actual experimental trips and communication, especially the key role of the press agencies in commercial and product promotion.

In the meeting, Nguyen Quoc Khanh highly evaluated Bac Giang’s methodical agricultural production and considered it the precious experiences for Son La agriculture sector to adopt in the near future. Vice Chairman Khanh took the occasion to express his thanks for the Bac Giang provincial leaders’ attention and hoped to prolong the mutual exchange on agriculture production in particular and socio-economy sectors in general.

The delegation took the chance to visit the model of the melon net house growing in Dong Tam 3 cooperative in Thuong Thang commune, the model of organic pig breeding cooperative in Danh Thang (Hiep Hoa) and clean vegetable cultivation model in a clean vegetable cooperative in Tien Dung commune (Yen Dung).
