The foreign-invested sector continued to account for the largest share of industrial production, contributing more than 940 trillion VND during the January-April period.
The growth was supported by the stable expansion of the manufacturing and processing sector, which remains the province’s main industrial growth engine. Production activities at many enterprises were maintained smoothly, while improving orders helped strengthen the sector’s overall momentum.
Provincial authorities also attributed the increase to continued improvements in the investment and business environment, creating favorable conditions for companies to expand operations and enhance production capacity.
Several companies recorded sharp increases in industrial output due to stronger production volumes compared with the same period last year. Output at New Wing Interconnect Co., Ltd. rose 1.79 times year-on-year, while Fuhong Precision Component Bac Giang Co., Ltd. posted a 1.68-fold increase. Canon Vietnam’s Que Vo factory saw production rise 1.18 times, and Microsoft Mobile Vietnam-Nokia reported output growth of 1.35 times.
Key products posting strong growth included printed circuit boards, input and output peripheral devices, and smart watches.
In the coming period, Bac Ninh plans to further promote industrial production activities, particularly major and key projects. The province will continue supporting businesses in addressing difficulties and boosting production and trade activities, while coordinating with customs authorities to facilitate exports, especially in response to U.S. tariff policies.
The province also aims to further improve the investment climate, assist businesses in expanding export markets and making effective use of free trade agreements, while enhancing production capacity and creating more jobs.
In addition, Bac Ninh is accelerating site clearance and completing investment, land and construction procedures for industrial park infrastructure projects.
