The 2026 National High School Sports Tournament took place from 20 to 30 June, gathering over 2,200 high school students from 30 provinces and cities across the country competing in 5 events including swimming, table tennis, badminton, athletics and traditional martial arts.

Bac Ninh sports delegation participated in the tournament with 75 athletes competing in 4 events: athletics, badminton, table tennis and traditional martial arts.

With outstanding achievements, the delegation bagged 17 gold, 15 silver and 12 bronze medals. Bac Ninh was one of the 10 localities awarded the flag of excellence by the Ministry of Education and Training at the tournament.

Of which, the athletics team topped the national medal standings with 11 gold, 6 silver and 10 bronze medals.

In badminton event, Bac Ninh team won 6 out of 7 medal sets with 4 gold and 2 silver medals, ranking 2nd nationwide. Especially, all the 10 students participating in this event bagged medals.

Besides, Bac Ninh won 7 medals (2 gold and 5 silver medals) in traditional martial arts, ranking 4th.

Bac Ninh athletes also bagged 2 silver and 2 bronze medals in table tennis, ranking 9th nationwide.
