Bac Ninh hosts job fair for workers returning from South Korea, Japan

Updated: 14:31, 22/04/2026

BAC NINH - A job fair targeting Vietnamese workers returning from South Korea and Japan was held on April 21 at the Bac Ninh Employment Service Centre (second facility) in Kinh Bac ward.

The event, jointly organised by the Bac Ninh Employment Service Centre and the Overseas Labour Centre under the Ministry of Home Affairs, attracted 17 South Korean- and Japanese-invested enterprises from both inside and outside the province, offering thousands of vacancies. Around 300 job seekers attended.

Representatives of business consult labour on suitable position.

According to organisers, sending workers abroad has in recent years made a significant contribution to the province’s socio-economic development. On average, more than 7,000 workers from Bac Ninh go to work overseas each year, mainly in markets such as South Korea, Japan and Taiwan.

Of these, South Korea and Japan account for the majority, with about 4,200 workers annually. In addition to higher incomes, workers gain improved skills, industrial work discipline and experience with modern production methods.

At the fair, participants received information materials, attended consultations and took part in on-site interviews at company booths arranged by organisers. Many secured jobs immediately after interviews.

Organisers said the outcomes would help returning workers stabilise their lives quickly while encouraging those still working abroad to return home on schedule, thereby improving the effectiveness of overseas labour programmes.
