Bac Ninh issues resolution to invest in direct road linking Gia Binh airport
BAC NINH - Bac Ninh’s Party Committee has approved a plan to invest in the construction of a direct road connecting to Gia Binh International Airport, according to a newly issued resolution.
The document, signed by Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Hong Thai on behalf of the committee, outlines the project’s implementation under a public-private partnership (PPP) model using a build-transfer (BT) contract, with payment to be made through land assets.

The route will run through Gia Binh and Luong Tai communes, with a total length of 6.48 km, divided into two sections. The first 2.14 km section will link with the Gia Binh–Hanoi airport corridor and extend to the airport boundary. The remaining 4.34 km section will connect the airport area to a main traffic axis in Luong Tai.
The road is designed with a width of 80 meters, featuring 10 central lanes for motor vehicles and additional supporting lanes on both sides. The design speed is set at 60 km per hour.
The project will require approximately 54.55 hectares of land and is estimated to cost more than 4 trillion VND (152 million USD). Construction is scheduled to begin in the first quarter of 2026 and be completed by the fourth quarter of 2027.
