Bac Ninh launches “Go to BacNinh” platform to promote Kinh Bac heritage online

BAC NINH – The Bac Ninh provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has launched a new digital tourism brand called “Go to BacNinh”, aiming to build an online ecosystem to promote the cultural and tourism assets of the Kinh Bac region to domestic and international audiences.

The initiative strengthens Bac Ninh’s official tourism communication across major social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube.

Its goal is to widely showcase the province’s culture, people and tourism potential, while providing verified and engaging information on destinations, historical sites, traditional festivals, craft villages, cuisine and signature tourism products.

Bac Ninh is one of Vietnam’s most culturally rich provinces, with nearly 5,000 historical and cultural relics, of which 1,415 are nationally recognised. The province hosts 1,314 traditional festivals each year.

It is also home to seven UNESCO-inscribed intangible cultural heritage elements and two sites recognised as part of a UNESCO heritage complex, including Bo Da Pagoda and Vinh Nghiem Pagoda. These assets underscore the distinct identity of the Quan Ho homeland, known for its elegant folk melodies.

Alongside preservation efforts, many major sites have recently undergone large-scale restoration, such as But Thap Pagoda, Dam Pagoda, Xuong Giang Citadel and Hoang Hoa Tham Temple, helping refresh the appearance of key cultural tourism destinations.

According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the launch of “Go to BacNinh” is part of a long-term strategy to modernise the province’s promotional approach. Bac Ninh is expanding multiplatform communication targeting both domestic and overseas markets.

“Go to BacNinh” is expected to help Bac Ninh become a distinctive cultural destination.

Content will be upgraded with a more professional and diverse presentation style, focusing on high-quality videos, images and cultural-historical storytelling told through a youthful, accessible perspective, a direction aligned with modern travel trends where social media has become a primary source of travel information.

“Go to BacNinh” is expected to become an official, updated and highly visual information channel, helping position Bac Ninh as a leading cultural destination in Vietnam in the coming years.

The launch marks an important step in the province’s communication strategy and efforts to promote the value of Kinh Bac heritage, coinciding with the 20th anniversary of Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day (Nov. 23, 2005 – Nov. 23, 2025).
