The Bac Ninh provincial leader welcomed Minister Kim and his delegation on July 31, describing South Korea as one of Bac Ninh's key economic partners.

He said South Korean companies have made significant contributions to the province's economic growth, job creation and industrial restructuring through their investment and manufacturing activities.

The Party chief outlined Bac Ninh's socio-economic development following the administrative reorganization and expansion of the province.

He reaffirmed the province's commitment to providing favorable conditions for South Korean businesses to invest and expand operations.

Regarding the Southeast Bac Ninh New Urban Area project, now located in Vu Ninh and Nhan Hoa wards, the provincial leader said the development would play an important role in the province's urban planning strategy.

He expressed hope that Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) would develop the project into an innovative urban area that could serve as a model for similar developments across Vietnam.

The provincial Party Chief also said the visit would help strengthen cooperation between Bac Ninh and South Korea's land and transport ministry, particularly in urban planning, smart city development, transport infrastructure, logistics, housing, sustainable high-tech industrial parks and the application of science and technology in urban management.

Minister Kim thanked Bac Ninh's leaders for their warm reception and praised the province's socio-economic achievements and investment appeal over recent years.

He highlighted Bac Ninh's role in global supply chains, supported by the presence of numerous South Korean enterprises.

Kim said many South Korean companies have operated successfully in Bac Ninh and regarded the province as one of Vietnam's most attractive investment destinations.

He added that the ministry is ready to share its experience in urban planning, technical infrastructure development, smart city construction and modern transport management, while promoting cooperation between South Korean organizations and Bac Ninh.

During the meeting, representatives from both sides discussed cooperation aimed at leveraging their respective strengths, with priority given to industrial park infrastructure, modern urban development and sustainable solutions to support urbanization.

LH also expressed its hope that Bac Ninh would soon approve the investment policy for the 223.5-hectare Southeast Bac Ninh Urban Area project, with estimated investment of 19.78 trillion VND (over 752 million USD).

The corporation also proposed developing a 350-hectare high-tech industrial park in the province at the earliest opportunity.
