Updated: 16:31, 04/07/2025

BAC NINH - On July 3, Vuong Quoc Tuan, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of Provincial People’s Committee (PPC) conducted field inspections and urged progress on two major projects: the infrastructure and warehouse facilities of Bac Giang International Logistics Centre and the construction of a new Xuong Giang Bridge section under the national highway upgrade programme.

The Bac Giang International Logistics Centre project is invested by Bac Giang International Logistics Co. Ltd. It is designed to handle over 700,000 warehouse service visits annually, 100,000 rest-stop business visits and 80,000 transactions for payment, import-export and customs services.

PPC Chairman Vuong Quoc Tuan speaks with the logistics centre investor.

With total investment exceeding 4.194 trillion VND (185 million USD), the project covers 66.69 hectares. During the working session, the investor reported that land allocation for phase 3 has yet to be completed and requested early handover to ensure on-schedule construction.

The company also proposed Bac Ninh authorities and the Ministry of Construction to consider connecting the railway line from Kep station to the logistics centre to facilitate exporters and logistics service firms.

According to functional agencies, the new Xuong Giang Bridge project, invested by the Railway Project Management Board under the Ministry of Construction, is part of efforts to upgrade and expand bridges and tunnels on National Highway 1 across several provinces.

The bridge has a total investment of over 170 billion VND from state budget funds.

To date, 30% of construction has been completed, with contractors currently working on foundations, piers, abutments and the approach road in Tien Phong ward. They aim to open the bridge to technical traffic before December this year as scheduled.

At the inspection site, project representatives reported several challenges affecting construction progress.

After inspecting the projects and listening to reports, PPC Chairman Vuong Quoc Tuan commended the efforts made by both investors, affirming that Bac Ninh’s administration always places businesses at the centre of its service orientation and is ready to listen and promptly address difficulties faced by investors during project implementation.
