Bac Ninh: Samsung Electronics leads firefighting skills competition 2026
BAC NINH – The Bac Ninh Firefighting and Rescue Skills Competition 2026 took place vibrantly with the participation of 23 teams. With an outstanding performance, Samsung Electronics Vietnam Co., Ltd. won the overall first prize.
On June 12, the provincial People’s Committee held the opening ceremony of the competition, exclusively for professional firefighting and rescue forces and organisations equipped with fire trucks in the province. Bac Ninh is the first locality in the country to organise such a competition.

Attending the event were Major General Nguyen Dinh Hoan, Deputy Director of the Department of Fire Prevention, Firefighting and Rescue under the Ministry of Public Security; Nguyen Anh Tuan, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Council; Phan The Tuan, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee; Nguy Thi Tuyen, Permanent Vice Chairwoman of the provincial Fatherland Front Committee.
The competition was part of activities marking the 25th anniversary of the National Fire Prevention, Firefighting and Rescue Day (October 4, 2001–2026).
It also aimed to assess training quality and operational readiness of professional forces, thereby improving force development, strengthening exchanges, and sharing experience among units.
This year’s competition brought together 23 teams representing professional firefighting and rescue forces and units with fire trucks operating in the province.

At the conclusion of the competition, the Organising Committee awarded the overall first prize to the firefighting and rescue team of Samsung Electronics Vietnam Co., Ltd.
Two second prizes were presented to the teams of Samsung Display Vietnam Co., Ltd. and Hoa Phu Industrial Park. Three third prizes were awarded to other outstanding teams.
In addition, the Organising Committee presented first, second, and third prizes for the 100m firefighting and rescue event and the 4×50m firefighting and rescue relay event.
On this occasion, the Chairman of the provincial People's Committee awarded the certificates of merit to three organisations and five individuals for their outstanding achievements in organising, training, and competing in the competition.
