Updated: 14:37, 18/03/2026

BAC NINH - Bac Ninh province aims to have 69.7% of its communes meet new rural standards in the 2026-2030 period, according to the provincial Department of Agriculture and Environment.

The province also targets around 10% of communes achieving “modern new rural” status, while promoting sustainable rural development linked to a green, circular and ecological rural economy.

Building on previous results, Bac Ninh will continue advancing rural development along modern and sustainable lines, with a focus on green, circular and ecological economic models. Average rural incomes are expected to rise by 2.5 to three times compared to 2020 levels.

By 2030, 46 out of 66 communes are projected to meet new rural standards, equivalent to 69.7%, while multidimensional poverty rates are set to decline by 1–1.5% annually.

To achieve these goals, the department will implement a range of measures, including refining policies and mechanisms, boosting rural economic development, and supporting the growth of OCOP (One Commune One Product) goods, as well as agricultural, ecological and community-based tourism tied to local strengths.

Authorities will also accelerate digital transformation in program management, mobilize and efficiently allocate investment resources, and promote the role of residents and businesses in rural development.

Efforts will be stepped up to raise public awareness, alongside stronger inspection and supervision to ensure transparency and effectiveness, contributing to improved living standards and sustainable rural development.
