This year, the Selection Council received 39 product entries from 24 rural industrial establishments. The products fall into two main categories: handicrafts, with 21 entries, and processed agricultural, forestry, fishery, and food products, with 18 entries. Several of these products have already been recognized under the “One Commune One Product” (OCOP) programme.

The Bac Ninh Provincial Selection Council for Outstanding Rural Industrial Products 2025 reviews and evaluates submitted entries.

Based on the scoring results from the jury, the Selection Council reviewed and agreed to propose that the Provincial People’s Committee officially recognize 22 products meeting the standards for Bac Ninh’s 2025 Outstanding Rural Industrial Products.

The selected items include: Japanese-glazed teapot, Tan Yen guava leaf tea, Agarwood incense burner and herbal candle set, Chu Nang Truong rice noodle set (traditional and vegetable-colored varieties), Phu Sang wooden chopsticks, Chu rice noodles, Thanh Hai dried lychee, Huong Son pineapple tea, Chicken sausage, Phuc Loc Song Toan and Vinh Quy Bai To wooden engraving sets, Wood and resin art tea tray and display lamp set, Cuu Hoang An - Twin Dragons of the Ly dynasty on Bodhi leaves, Star SaViNa health supplement, Bodhi leaf art ‘Twin Dragons Greeting the Moon, Lang Toi Classic Cut wine, Maitreya Blessing statue, Nhu Bao traditional herbal wine, Luc Truc bamboo shoots, Danh Mountain ginseng flower tea, Bat Do bamboo shoots, Mao Son Tuu herbal rice wine and Binh Phuong rice noodles.

These products meet the key criteria of competitiveness, market potential, quality, creativity, aesthetic appeal, eco-friendliness, food safety, and sustainable development.

The Selection Council also agreed to nominate 10 of the most qualified products to represent Bac Ninh in the regional-level competition for outstanding rural industrial products.

The provincial award ceremony is expected to be held during the Bac Ninh Fruit Festival in early December 2025.

Bac Ninh pushes OCOP products into modern retail channels

BAC NINH – The northern province of Bac Ninh has nearly 800 products from local businesses, cooperatives and production facilities certified under its provincial-level One Commune One Product (OCOP) programme. But only a modest portion has found its way into modern retail channels, prompting calls for producers and authorities to remove barriers and expand market reach.

The National Council for the Evaluation of OCOP Products on Tuesday announced the recognition of 47 new five-star-rated products under the One Commune One Product (OCOP) programme, bringing the national total to 126 five-star products.

Support promotion and introduction of OCOP products to public

The promotion and introduction of OCOP products have been widely implemented by localities across the country. Accordingly, more than 674 centres/points for the display and sale of OCOP products have been established, linked to urban centres and tourist destinations in various localities. OCOP products have been and are being widely embraced by people throughout the country.
