Bac Ninh welcomes 6.3 million tourist arrivals
BAC NINH –The northern province of Bac Ninh has received about 6.3 million tourist arrivals so far this year, exceeding the annual plan by 12.5%, reported the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism. Tourism revenue is estimated at 5.5 trillion VND (240 million USD), up 13% from a year earlier.
The rise in visitor numbers is driven by attractions and cultural–tourism events that continue to draw crowds, including the Tay Yen Tu spiritual–ecotourism complex, Suoi Mo ecotourism site and major festivals such as Yen The, Vinh Nghiem pagoda, Bo Da pagoda, Phat Tich pagoda, the Sloong hao folk singing festival, highland markets, fruit–growing areas as well as destinations like Bau Tien, Ban Ven, Van Hoa Ho Va and the Dong Ho folk painting village.

Localities have boosted promotion efforts, organised distinctive festival activities, revived traditional rituals and folk games, and showcased OCOP products, helping spread the image of Bac Ninh tourism.
The tourism sector has also rolled out various promotional and marketing programmes under the direction of the provincial People’s Committee and central authorities.
These include a series of early–spring festivals; free tours based on the “Bac Bling” music video and the “80 years of the journey of Independence – Freedom – Happiness” exhibition; a tourism and culinary festival and the “Ceramics and traditional craft villages” culture–tourism week; the 5-gate Hanoi – Tu Son river cruise tour; and hosting national and international cultural and sports events.
To create further breakthroughs in the coming period, the provincial People’s Committee has instructed agencies and localities to organise large–scale events; develop specialised tourism products and regional linkages; address challenges faced by businesses; accelerate digital transformation; and build a smart tourism ecosystem.
