Catholic followers keep solidarity, join hands to build new life

(BGO)- A working delegation led by Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee of Bac Giang province Phan The Tuan on December 20 visited and extended Christmas greetings to bishops and priests at the Diocese of Bac Ninh and Bac Giang Parish.

Bac Giang Parish belongs to the Diocese of Bac Ninh. Currently, the province is home to 14 dioceses and 78 parishes with about 30,000 Catholic followers. At his visit, the provincial Vice Chairman Phan The Tuan wished Bishop Cosma Hoang Van Dat of the Bac Ninh Diocese, priests, dignitaries and all Catholic

The delegation of Bac Giang province extends Christmas greetings to Diocese of Bac Ninh.

Besides, he informed the Bishop about socio-economic development of Bac Giang province in 2021. He stressed, despite complicated developments of the pandemic, the province has seen good economic growth rate especially state budget collection exceeded the set target.

The achieved results were greatly contributed by local Catholic dignitaries and followers

He hoped that the Catholic followers in Bac Ninh Diocese will continue living a good religious life and keeping the solidarity between Catholics and non-Catholics to actively take part in the patriotic emulation movements, involve in Covid-19 fight to ensure safe and flexible response and effective control of the pandemic, join hands in building a rich and beautiful country and foster the strong national solidarity.

On behalf of the Diocese, Bishop Cosma Hoang Van Dat thanked the leaders of Bac Giang province for their attention to the priests, dignitaries and Catholic followers in the Diocese.

Provincial Vice Chairman Phan The Tuan gives flowers and gifts to Bac Giang Parish.

He stressed, he will continue propagandizing and mobilizing the dignitaries and Catholic followers to comply with the guidelines and policies of the Party, laws and regulations of the Government and fulfill the citizenship responsibilities. Besides, they will foster the solidarity and unity to accompany the local government in implementing the tasks of socio-economic development and strengthening national defense and security.

He added, on this Christmas and New Year occasion, the holy rituals will be organized online to ensure the pandemic prevention and control and protect the people’s health with a wish for a peaceful new year.

On this occasion, the provincial Vice Chairman Phan The Tuan presented flowers and gifts to the Diocese of Bac Ninh and gave 50 million VND (2,180 USD) to Bac Giang Parish.
