Chinese team wins Da Nang International Fireworks Festival
Jiangxi Yangfeng from China was crowned champion of the 2025 Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) thanks to an impressive performance that blended fireworks and music seamlessly.
During the grand finale on Saturday night, Jiangxi Yangfeng opened the night with a captivating display that immediately impressed the audience.

From the main grandstand, spectators could clearly see the team's sophisticated combination, low-level fireworks with dynamic movement paired with high-altitude bursts, adding depth and rhythm to the performance.
After that are segments featured three layers of fireworks, creating a vivid painting of light across the sky.
The team from China also incorporated water explosion effects using the fireworks, adding emotional impact, especially for viewers on river cruises.
The show, themed "A Shining Pearl – The City of Tomorrow", paid tribute to Da Nang as a rising coastal hub.The team likened Da Nang to a radiant gem in the heart of Asia, symbolizing peace, integration and aspiration for the future.
For the first time, Jiangxi Yangfeng used a Vietnamese song in its display with "Bac Bling", a popular hit among local youth as it blends traditional music with a modern twist, showing an effort to connect with the host country's culture.
The soundtrack also included international hits such as “The Final Countdown,” “Legacy of Six,” “Homecoming,” and “Promise of Hope”, blending energetic beats with gentle melodies. Many spectators praised the team's seamless synchronization between music and fireworks compared to others.
With this stunning performance, Jiangxi Yangfeng claimed first place.Vietnam’s Z121 Vina Pyrotech, under the Ministry of Naitonal Defense, made its debut in the festival this year and reached the final, earning the runner-up spot.
Their display opened with a steady rhythm, reflecting the discipline and composure of a military unit.The team used over 5,000 fireworks, carefully selected from 7,000 provided by the organizers. Effects included weeping willows and water-surface blooms, enhancing the visual depth of the performance.

Through their display, Z121 conveyed a message of peace and stability, core values Vietnam continues to uphold in a rapidly changing world.
In the first two minutes, their display was fully visible. However, later segments were partially affected as the wind died down and smoke lingered, a situation that also affected the Chinese team.
The 2025 edition marked the largest DIFF event ever, with 10 teams participating. It was also the first time since the event's inception in 2008 that a Vietnamese team reached the final round.
