A ceremony was held on October 8 to launch construction on the expansion of the APEC Sculpture Park in Binh Hien ward, Hai Chau district, the central city of Da Nang, adjacent to the current park.

Covering an area of 8,668 square metres, the project consists of a green tree park, lawns and gardens.

Accordingly, the central area of the sculpture park will feature a wide arched structure and a community living space will be the main architectural highlight.

In addition, the expanded garden will have a fountain, artificial hill, natural grass, walking roads, flowers and green trees. In particular, a lake has been designed with two waterfalls and automatic water fountains.

The project, expected to be completed in May 2021, will create a beautiful, green public space beside the Han river.

The construction is based on the idea of “the kite flying high” by the Pho Xanh (Green Street) One-member Limited Company.

It is hoped the APEC park will become a cultural and tourism destination imbued with the specific identities of Da Nang city.
