(BGO) – The Department of
Foreign Affairs (DoFA) in Bac Giang province on July 14 received the letter
from Nguyen Thai Trong in Diem Ren hamlet, Truong Son commune, Luc Nam district
requesting the local authority to instruct, support and facilitate to
repatriate his relative who is now working under contract in Japan.
Accordingly, his wife Nguyen Thi Oanh who was born in May 19, 1990 with the passport No. C2852329 issued on February 17, 2017 inked the labour contract with Quoc Huy Investment Joint Stock Company (at the 9th floor, DCAMEX building, No.86 Nguyen Co Thach street, My Dinh No 1 Urban Area, Sourth Tu Liem district, Hanoi) to work in Japan for 3 year as an internship at Kawakami at No.389 KuTagi Taki Izumo Shimane from June 2017 – June 2020.

However, due to the hard work and difficult living condition, Oanh could not continue working as of early February 2020. She has reflected several times with the company and teacher of the agency to try asking for early repatriation in vain.
In late February 2020, the bad health condition did not allow Oanh to work any more, thus she contacted Vietnamese Embassy in Japan to request the support and protection.
Now, she lives in miserable condition in Japan (no shelter, no job, expired visa on June 19, 2020, poor health condition with osteoarthritis due to heavy work).
Otherwise, family of Nguyen Thai Trong in Bac Giang province live in poor circumstance. His father in law passed away in June 2019, his mother in law currently suffers from chronic disease while his small children need their mother’s care.
After receiving Trong’s request, the provincial DoFA submitted document to the Consular Department and relevant agencies to have early measures to support citizen Nguyen Thi Oanh to repatriate hometown as the family desire.
