The model aims to propagate and mobilize local people to enhance the application of information technology and digital technology to connect with producers and customers through social networks and reputable e-commerce platforms to promote and consume key local products, goods and services, contributing to modern and sustainable socio-economic development.

To deploy the model, currently provincial departments and sectors have supported the Commune People's Committee to communicate and raise people's awareness about e-commerce and digital transformation in new rural construction; offer training to raise awareness and capacity for officials, collective economic organizations and people on digital transformation and e-commerce among others.

Phuc Hoa commune is currently completing the conditions to build a point to introduce and sell key, typical, OCOP products; invest and install a new smart speaker system at the grassroots level together with free wireless internet transmitter system.

The locality also focuses on creating digital map for key and signature farm produce like early ripening lychee, guava, honey and rice wine in associated with cultural space and production area while accelerating online trade promotion and sale.

The model has been deployed since the end of July this year with total cost of nearly 3.4 billion VND from the national target program for new style rural area building, including 1.7 billion VND from the central budget, 500 million VND from the provincial budget and the remaining from district, commune and subjects participating in the model.

After piloting in Phuc Hoa, the province will summarize, evaluate and take lesson learnt to orient replication in other localities with suitable conditions.
