Valedictorian at mind test of three groups

On July 24 morning, Hanoi University of Science and Technology announced the result of the mind test 2022 which will be the basis for admission selection to Hanoi University of Science and Technology and 20 other universities nationwide.

Do Duc Tu, twelfth grader at Math honor class in Bac Giang High School for the Gifted became valedictorian of three groups K00 (Math, Reading Comprehension, Nature Science, English); K01 (Math, Reading Comprehension, Nature Science) and K01 (Math, Reading Comprehension, English).

He got 14.6 out of 15 points for Math; 4.33 out of 5 for Reading Comprehension; 8.44 out of 10 for Nature Science; 8.12 out of 10 for English. He registered to IT1 Computer Science Faculty in Hanoi University of Science and Technology.

In 2022 national high school graduation exam, Tu got 28.4 points at A00 group.

Living in Tan Tien commune (Bac Giang city), the boy often stayed at the school to take most of the time on self studying. He always desires to expand and reinforce more knowledge for lessons as well as actively exchanges with friends to improve exercise solving skill.

With 29.8 points (Math 9.8, Physics 10, Chemistry 10), Nguyen Viet Thanh in class 12A8 of Yen The High School became national salutatorian in group A00 at this year national high school graduation exam.

He is confident because he is good at all subjects. Thanh won first prize in Informatic at the provincial contest for excellent student in grade 11 and second prize in Math at the same kind of contest in grade 12.

His secret to gain high score is to carefully listen to class lessons and self study at home. He did not spend time on extra class. After school, he focused on self solving diverse exercises in school books and reference to expand and improve the knowledge.

His bright model is the sister who has excellently graduated from National Economics University.

Apart from tense lesson, Thanh oftens plays football, goes swimming with friends and helps parent do housework. With high score, he plans to register to IT2 Computer Technology Faculty at Hanoi University of Science and Technology and Technology University (Hanoi National University).

At the exam, Le Nhat Minh at Math honor class in Bac Giang High School for the Gifted scored 29.1 (9.8 in Math, 9.8 in English, 9.5 in Physics), highest in group A01 in the province. He plans to register to Automation Faculty at Hanoi University of Science and Technology.

Le Nhat Minh and Do Duc Tu are close friends in the same class who regularly won high academic achievements.

Minh was born and grown up in a family with studious tradition. His parents are Math teachers who inspire his passion for Math. Since he studied in grade 3, he had followed high quality Math class of Bac Giang city. At the entrance exam to Math honor class in grade 10, he was salutatorian and the sole person gaining perfect score in Math in Bac Giang city.

Sharing about the study method, Minh said: “I arrange timetable suitably to study and play. Reading books, listening to music and watching film help me relaxed. I keep high focus on both class and home lessons to deeply receive and understand the knowledge. I will immediately ask for teacher’s clarification for any unclear exercise”.

The female students winning highest score in group C00 is Nguyen Thi Thuy My in class 12A9 of Lang Giang No.2 High School with total score of 29.25 (Literature 9.75, History 10, Geography 9.5).

My revealed that she selected to firmly study the subjects by drawing mildmaps, listing major contents and key milestones, carefully listening to teachers’ lessons and reviewing knowledge everyday.

History is her strong subject. She tried to deeply understand the nature of the issue and event, thoroughly read the book first then reference as well as intergrate the lessons.

She was born in a family with four childrens who are excellent students. Two older sisters are now students at Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam and National Economics University. Her youngest brother is excellent student at Primary School in Kep town.
