Good deed for older people

(BGO) – Nguyen Ba Thuc, Vice Chairman of the Bac Giang provincial Association for the Elderly (PAE) on September 26 visited and presented the gifts of the provincial People’s Committee to the outstanding members in the movement of “Getting Older Higher Spirit” in Yen Dung district.

Vietnam cares for elderly population

They are Dinh Van Muon (born in 1935) in Yen Hong hamlet, Yen Lu commune and Nguyen Quoc Lap (born in 1924) in Minh Phuong hamlet, Nham Son commune. Each gift included 500,000 VND (21.45 USD), 5 meters of silk and confections.

The leader of the Bac Giang provincial Association for the Elderly presents gifts to members who are under treatment in Geriatrics Department (the provincial General Hospital).

At the same day, PAE leader visited and handed 10 gift packages to the disadvantaged older people under treatment in Geriatrics Department (the provincial General Hospital); 2 gift sets to typical member and member with the difficult circumstance in the wards of Tho Xuong and Xuong Giang (Bac Giang city).

It is a meaningful activity responding to Action Month for Vietnamese older persons (October) and International Day for the Older Person (October 1).
