Google Doodles are special icons, temporarily replacing the Google logo on the Google.com homepage (or Google Vietnamese homepage - google.com.vn) in order to celebrate major holidays, events, achievements and to honour characters with their important contributions in many sectors for the community in the country or for humanity.
Since 2003, Google Vietnamese homepage (google.com.vn) has introduced many works of Doodles honouring Vietnam’s typical culture such as traditional holidays such as Vietnamese Teacher’s Day, Mid-Autumn Festival, Lunar New Year, National Day, late musician Trinh Cong Son.
Earlier, Hoi An ancient town was named the world’s best city of 2019 by the New York-based Travel + Leisure magazine.
In an article entitled ‘Hoi An Is the Best City in the World - and the Street Food Is Only the Beginning’, the Vietnamese city was described as a charming city with ancient roots, distinct architecture, a contagious energy, and arguably one of the best street food scenes on the planet.
