Hanoi to plant about 120,000 new trees this spring

Hanoi will grow about 120,000 trees in districts, towns, public places, offices, schools and hospitals this spring in memory of President Ho Chi Minh.
The tree planting festival will take place from January 30 to February 5 throughout the capital city.

In 2020, the city plans to have up to 250,000 new trees.
Vietnamese people have a special tree planting festival in spring, which highlights the country’s traditional custom initiated by President Ho Chi Minh in the hope of greening up the country.
At an altitude of 1,200 m, Mang Den, a lesser-known town in Kon Tum Province is dubbed the ‘second Da Lat' for its blooming cherry trees.

Farmers in the Mekong Delta are growing new flower and plant varieties such as five-fruit trees and rat-shaped plants for the upcoming Tet (Lunar New Year) festival, which falls on January 25 (Year of the Rat).
(BGO) - Tan Yen district of Bac Giang province has
many advantages in developing fruit trees but there are few new varieties, and
productivity and quality remain low. In 2017, the district launched the project
"Application of scientific and technological advances in the production of
late-ripen longan, Hoa Binh red grapefruit and Taiwanese guava". After nearly
three years of implementation, the project has reaped initial results, with economic
efficiency increasing significantly.

trip to tourist sites in the fruit tree area of Luc Ngan district, Bac Giang
province.
