KOPO - VKTech opens joint coordination office in Bac Ninh
BAC NINH – Vietnam-Korea Vocational College of Technology (VKTech) and the Korea Polytechnic University (KOPO) on September 24 inaugurated a new coordination office to strengthen education and training cooperation.
The ceremony was attended by Le Xuan Loi, Vice Chairman of Bac Ninh province People’s Committee (PPC), KOPO President and CEO Lee Cheol-Soo and Baek Seok Hyun, labor and employment attaché at the South Korean Embassy in Vietnam.

With the mission of training high-quality human resources to serve sustainable development in Bac Ninh and Vietnam, VKTech has sought to build a modern learning environment closely linked to enterprise needs and labor market demand.
Founded in 1968, KOPO is one of South Korea’s leading public technical universities and vocational institutions, widely recognized for producing skilled workers who have contributed to the country’s industrial growth.

The KOPO–VKTech coordination office will serve as a direct channel for joint training programmes, particularly in high-tech industries, automation and artificial intelligence – fields considered vital to the fourth industrial revolution.
Speaking at the event, PPC Vice Chairman Loi said the office would not only create opportunities for study, research and employment for students, but also deepen ties between Vietnam and South Korea.

He urged the office to expand specialized programs in mechanical engineering, electrical and electronic systems, and automation, while advancing new sectors such as semiconductors and AI.

Under the partnership, KOPO will provide VKTech with modern training curricula aligned with Korean standards, dispatch top lecturers and experts to Vietnam, and help build up the college’s teaching staff.
VKTech students will also have opportunities for internships and employment with leading institutions and enterprises in South Korea.
