Speaking at the meeting on October 16, the municipal Party Chief said Bac Ninh was honoured to welcome Lakhamphong and the delegation, highlighting the longstanding relationship between Vietnam and Laos.

He described the two countries' great friendship, special solidarity, comprehensive cooperation and strategic cohesion as an invaluable asset nurtured and preserved by generations of leaders and people of both nations.

Building on their established cooperation, Bac Ninh signed cooperation agreements for 2026-2030 with Xaysomboun Province in December 2025 and Houaphanh Province in February 2026, he said.

The MPC Secretary Nguyen Hong Thai reaffirmed that the municipal Party organisation, administration and people remained committed to preserving and strengthening the special relationship between the two countries.
