Nguyen Thi Oanh pockets gold medal at Singapore Open Track & Field Championships 2018

(BGO) - The Singapore Open Track & Field Championships 2018 was held on April 11 – 12, attracting over 100 outstanding athletes of South East Asian and Asian countries.

The Bac Giang-born champion of Southeast Asian Games 29 Nguyen Thi Oanh was one out of four members in the Vietnam national track and field team vying for the medal in the event. Oanh registered to compete in women’s 3,000m hurdle and 1,000m categories.

Owning an impressive manner, Oanh had a successful start on April 11 with the first gold medal on her forte of 3,000 hurdle category in 10 minutes 42 seconds 53, 34 seconds passing her runner-up.

On the afternoon of April 12, she continues conquering the women’s 1,500m event with the target of another gold at the championship.
