Nguyen Thi Suoi Phan wins gold at national youth boxing championship

(BGO) – The National Youth Boxing Championship 2019 took
place in Can Tho city from July 12-24, drawing 350 athletes from 37 provinces,
cities and sectors across the nation.
7 athletes in Bac Giang team joined the events at 3 weight categories for women and 4 weight categories for men.

Though the young faces had few training time and experience, they successfully competed at the championship with 1 gold and 2 bronze medals.
The gold medallist was Nguyen Thi Suoi Phan (Nung ethnic in Deo Sat, Dong Huu commune, Yen The district) at women’s 60kg under the age group of 15 – 16 while both bronze medals were awarded to Nguyen Ba Anh (men’s 52kg) and Nguyen Tran Bao Minh (men’s 63kg) under same age group of 15-16.

Championship 2019 has been held recently in Rach Gia city (Kien Giang province).
10 members in Bac Giang team competed together with more than 660 athletes from
34 provinces, cities and sectors across the nation.

jointly held from June 8-10 in Da Nang city by Vietnam Education Publishing
House, Childhood Mathematics Magazine and Department of Education and Training
in Da Nang city.
Vietnam’s taekwondo team clinched one medal of each colour at the 2019 World Taekwondo Grand Prix in Rome, Italy.
The Vietnamese team won five golds at an Asia Pacific mathematics competition, placing the country second after hosts Singapore.
A total of 12 gold and 19 silver medals were presented to most outstanding performances of the ASEAN Music Festival 2019, which wrapped up in the northern port city of Hai Phong on May 31
