Number of guest workers to Republic of Korea increase

(BGO) – The Department of Labor – Invalids and
Social Affairs (DoLISA) in the northern province of Bac Giang has completed the
health examination and received the application dossiers of 83 labors to
Republic of Korea, mostly those passed the Korean language and practice test in
2019 for two fields of manufacturing and construction.
The DoLISA also informed the labors about the legal policies relating to the Employment Permit System (EPS - employment permit programme to foreign labors per RoK’s Law on Employment); thoroughly grasped the serious contract execution and punishment relating to contract cancellation, running away and illegal residing at the RoK...

Since early this year, 308 local labors have been sent to RoK to work under EPS programme, nearly doubling the figure in 2018. The labors are mostly from the districts of Lang Giang, Yen Dung, Viet Yen and Luc Ngan.
Vietnam's Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs has suggested two options for Tet that would both grant workers a seven-day break.
(BGO) – Implementing the project “Improving quality of
vocational training to rural labors” under the National Target Programme to
build the new style rural area (period 2016 - 2020), Bac Giang province has
opened 90 courses of vocational training to more than 2,700 rural labors since
early this year, making up over 74.1 percent of the annual target.
(BGO) – The Job Service Center (under Department of Labor –
Invalids and Social Affairs in Bac Giang province) on July 31 continued to
organize the mobile job transaction session in Huong Lam commune (Hiep Hoa
district) to support the labors who lost their jobs due to the suspension
of Jungmin Pho Hoa Company Limited (Hiep
Hoa district).
(BGO) – On July 2, Vice Chairman of the Bac Giang
provincial People’s Committee (PPC) Le Anh Duong chaired a meeting to discuss
the solution to protect the labors’ rights in the enterprises which encounter
difficulties in production or hire the factory and owe the salary, social
insurance and other benefits.
(BGO) – On June 24, the Job Service Center in Bac Giang
province held the first ever recruitment
festival to support the enterprises on urgent demand of labor recruitment.
