Among the stalls are 385 from Vietnamese businesses, 835 from Chinese firms and nearly 200 erected by companies from a number of other countries, including the Republic of Korea and Thailand.

On display during the five-day fair are mainly farm produce, fruit, frozen seafood, traditional handcrafts, refined art products, and garments and textiles.

The annual event is held alternately between Vietnam’s Lao Cai province and China’s Yunnan province, aiming to boost trade between investors from Vietnam, China and other nations, for the purpose of cooperation and friendship towards mutual development.

It also offers a good chance for Vietnamese and Chinese businesses to meet, discuss and advertise their unique products to the people of the two countries, in addition to seeking opportunities to expand their markets.

There are also a number of activities scheduled within the framework of the fair, including a seminar to discuss the economic and trade cooperation between Lao Cai and Yunnan and the signing of economic and trade deals between businesses from Vietnam and China.

Vietnamese food advertised at Foodex Japan 2018 trade fair
