On July 7, the provincial Youth Union launched volunteer teams across the province to support public administrative services at grassroots levels, following recent commune and ward mergers.

Ninety-nine volunteer teams were established to provide direct assistance at one-stop service departments in communes and wards as well as at the provincial public administration service centre.

The volunteers include Youth Union members, young officials, police youth members and students. They will guide citizens and businesses to register electronic identification accounts, use online public services, search and submit online documents, and understand new policies and digital utilities under the two-tier government management system.

The initiative will run until the end of August 2025, with volunteers stationed from Monday to Friday to ensure at least one volunteer is present daily at each commune and ward’s result-returning section.

Officials said the programme aims to promote youth participation in improving public service quality and efficiency under the province’s administrative reform.

Nearly 8,000 youths trained in digital start-ups and tech mastery

The training programme “Million-view start-up – supporting 20 million Vietnamese youths in start-up” was recently held successfully in Ha Noi. It is a key activity of the tuition-free community education project “Digital literacy for all – Let’s learn AI together”, under the scheme “Enhancing digital business capacity for 20 million Vietnamese youths”.

Youths promote creativity to honour national history

Numerous cultural and entertainment products on the theme of history have been launched by young people on digital platforms on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification. Notable among them is the project recreating the Cu Chi Tunnels as a “virtual museum” within an online game, illustrating the creativity of youth in remembering national history and spreading national pride.
