The planning scale covers an area of 127.15 ha, including the protection area I and the protection area II of the complex (according to the special national relic ranking records), with a total area of 29.6 ha.

The proposed area of research and planning (added to the protection area II) will be expanded to all sides, adjacent to the complex, with an area of 97.55 ha.

The planning is to preserve and promote the value of special national historical, artistic and architectural relic sites, especially Bo Da pagoda - the home of Lam Te Zen sect, becoming a place for cultural and religious activities, sightseeing, scientific research and training.

It is necessary to promote the value of the Bo Da Pagoda relic complex to make it an attractive tourist destination of Bac Giang province; connect it with other famous historical-cultural relic sites and tourist attractions in Viet Yen district, Bac Giang province and surrounding areas, forming a rich tourism product chain, thus contributing to local socio-economic and tourism development.

Bo Da Pagoda is one of the places that still retains the original features of the ancient Vietnamese architecture. The pagoda has a unique architecture that is different from traditional pagodas in the North, with the largest and most beautiful tower garden in Vietnam, many valuable antiques and a rich treasure of Han-Nom heritages. Bo Da Pagoda was ranked by the State as a special national relic site in 2016. The Bo Da Pagoda Festival is a major festival of the people in the region, attracting a large number of domestic and international tourists.
