– Duong Hoang Tra (born in 1984) in Long Van village, Phuc Son commune, Tan Yen
district (Bac Giang province) used to have a happy family. He worked as a carpenter
and his wife named Nguyen Thi Thu worked at a garment company. They got married
with 3 children, the oldest is 9 years old and smallest is few month old.
They worked hard to earn a living and planned to save money to build new house so that his old parent and little kids could have more spacious home. But the calamity suddenly occurred.

On his way back home from work in the evening of May 18 crossing Yen Phong district (Bac Ninh province), Tra’s motorbike clashed with another. He was suffered from traumatic brain injury, neck bone marrow lesion, lung damage…
Thanks to the positive treatment for months at the hospitals, Tra has recovered from critical condition but immobilised with high risk of paralysis. Now he relies all on relatives and can not speak also.
His father Duong Van Binh said the doctor consulted to continue the positive treatment and care for Tra to increase the hope of recovery. However, the family can not afford for any further amount of hospital cost which is now up to over 300 million VND (over 12,900 USD).
Tra’s family had to borrow many people. His wife must stop working to take care of him . His parents are old veteran and able to help look after the children. 7 members of the family live on the income from the fields while the cost of treatment and implements to Tra is expensive. The treatment for rehabilitation is really limited due to lack of money.
Tra’s family really needs the attention and support from kind-hearted people. Any donation and support should be sent to Duong Van Binh (Tra’s father) or Nguyen Thi Thu (Tra’s wife) in Long Van village, Phuc Son commune, Tan Yen district, Bac Giang province (telephone 0395578175 or 0945075849).
