On the morning of January 15, Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Le Anh Duong visited and presented Tet gifts to the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)’s provincial chapter and Venerable Thich Thien Van, member of the Executive Board of the VBS Central Committee and head of the Executive Board of the VBS’s provincial chapter.

On the same day, Duong and his entourage visited the general social protection and mental health care facilities of the province. Currently, the provincial General Social Protection Facility is taking care of 131 lonely elderly people, orphans, HIV-infected and disabled children. Meanwhile, the provincial Mental Health Care Facility is treating 86 people with severe mental illnesses.

On this occasion, he gave each facility a gift worth 3 million VND; Hoa Phu Invest Co., Ltd. donated 25 million VND (1,099 USD) each, and Bach Viet Group 15 million VND (660 USD) each.

On January 15, Leo Thi Lich, standing member of the National Assembly’s Ethnic Affairs Council, visited and presented 200 gifts, totaling 102 million VND (4,487 USD), to Luc Ngan district; 100 gifts worth 50 million VND (2,199 USD) to Son Dong district to support local poor households and policy beneficiaries. The gifts have been raised from the Central Fund for the Poor and benefactors.
